Only “short-term entry foreign visitors” are eligible for the Pass. Visitors who entered Taiwan with a R.O.C passport or a valid alien resident certificate are not eligible for these products.

*The pass holder will be able to travel in a reserved or non-reserved seat in standard class but not in business class. To travel in a reserved seat, the pass holder must complete reservation before boarding. There will be no extra charge.
*For Child Pass, children over the age of 6 years and under 12 years old may purchase the Child Pass; and children under 6 years old who do not occupy a seat are not required to purchase a Pass, but those who would like to occupy a seat will have to purchase a child Pass.

STEP3 Collect

Collect your Pass at any THSR ticketing counter.

STEP4 Board

Present the THSR Pass, and your passport to the staffs for inspection to enter and exit via the manned gates.

Instructions for Pass Buyers

  • You will receive an order number and redeem code after the payment is completed. They will be valid for 90 days starting on the payment date. An expired number or code will be treated as a redeemed number or code and will not be eligible for refund.
  • Passengers who have received an order number and redeem code must make a redemption and reservation and collect the Pass before boarding.
  • Passengers can proceed to「Manage」to redeem travel dates and reserve a seat online , or proceed to a THSR ticketing counter to redeem and reserve.
  • Applicable travel dates are as follows:
    1. 3-Day Pass：The 3 days are defined as the 3 consecutive days from the first designated travel date.
    2. Flexible 2-Day Pass：The 2 days are defined as the first travel date designated during the redemption period, and the second day shall be any day within 7 days (inclusive) of the first date.
    3. The dates will be calculated based on Taiwan time. From 00:00 to 23:59 is counted as one day.
  • Redeem and Reserve：
    1. The Pass holder can designate travel dates in the redemption period permitted by the validity period of the product. However, the travel date cannot be the payment date.
    2. The travel dates can be designated within 29 days starting from 00:00 on the day of redemption. If the Pass is redeemed on a Friday or Saturday, the period will be extended to the Sunday 4 weeks after the day of redemption (based on Taiwan time).However, the travel date can only be selected after the date of payment.If the redemption period is changed due to special circumstances, THSRC will publish a notification on the THSR official website.
    3. After redemption, passengers can book reserved seats in standard class on THSR trains. However, bookings for trains on the reserved travel date must be made at least 1 hour before departure time.
    4. 5 bookings are allowed for online booking. For more bookings, please visit the ticketing counter in the THSR station.
    5. Seat availability is not guaranteed during peak hours or holidays.
    6. THSR Passes are not applicable to business class.
  • After online redemption/reservation, please proceed to any THSR ticketing counter to collect the physical Pass before boarding.
  • When redeeming or collecting your Pass at the ticketing counter, please present your redeem code, passport (original), and short-term entry document.
  • When making reservations at the ticketing counter, please present your Pass, passport, and short-term entry document.
  • Online processing is not allowed once the physical Pass is collected. If there is any assistance needed, please visit the ticketing counters at any THSR station.
  • If passengers need to modify the itineraries, apply for a refund, or query ticketing regulations, please refer to「FAQ」for more details.

    4. THSR One-Way Ticket is not applicable to business class and standard non-reserved seating class.
  • After making a reservation under "Manage" on the THSR website, a passenger should visit a THSR ticketing counter to collect the Ticket prior to boarding. The passenger must present the reservation number, the passenger’s original passport and a valid short-term entry document.
  • The passenger shall board the trains according to the date, train number, departure/arrival station, and seat number on the Ticket. If an inspection is required, please present your passport and valid short-term entry document to THSR staffs.
  • Online processing is not allowed once the physical Ticket is collected. If there is any assistance needed, please visit the ticketing counters at any THSR station.
